In this sophisticated streaming data environment, we monitor the global

state of online threats, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, enabling

customers to free up the time and resources necessary for overall threat

management.


Integrating human intelligence with technology


Ingensys believes in the power of technology, made possible by human innovation. The experience and expertise of the Threat Management team provide the foundation for our innovative services. The Threat Center employs a dynamic defence by continuously incorporating information into its databases and rewriting its filtering rules to capture the new threats.


The Threat Center also updates the heuristics - or rules - and loads them into the system to enable it to more effectively separate good email from bad email. Anti-virus and anti-worm updates distributed by third-party anti-virus engines are also collected in real-time and systematically loaded.


Our proprietary WormTraq® worm detection system can be immediately reprogrammed by the Threat Center to fight impending threats. This technology enabled us to block the MyDoom.A worm from entering our customers' networks within 23 minutes of its outbreak in January 2004 - over five hours before other leading anti-virus companies developed and implemented their own patches. In November 2005, the Threat Center began blocking the Sober.Z worm within 25 minutes of initially detecting it.

In addition to staying on top of the latest Web and email threats, the team works hard to provide early notification of destructive email to the business community. Using a standard threat communication process, the Threat Center is positioned to quickly warn its customers of current viruses, worms, and directory attacks and raise awareness of their characteristics.
